Recently, Dean Yan Xuetong of the Institute of Contemporary International Relations at Tsinghua University published many articles on the current and future changes in the international pattern. His analysis was incisive and insightful. His reading was very much inspired. However, I can hardly agree on an important view running through it: “China has now been considered by the international community as the second largest country in the world. The international situation has the possibility of polarization and the possibility of multi-polarization The smaller. ”" In my opinion, this judgment is untenable and building a polarized world should not become a strategic option for China.
