Nitrosamines induce many tumors in many animals, and they can be synthesized in vitro and in vivo. This article reports the measurement of several volatile nitrosamines in the stools of normal individuals, thereby proposing the possibility of endogenously synthesizing nitrosamines in the lower part of the gastrointestinal tract. Frozen concentrated stool samples were extracted with dichloromethane, injected into gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) or high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with a thermal analyzer (TEA), and dimethylnitrosamine NDMA, NDEA, NDBA, NPIP and NMOR. For example, in one sample, the contents were 0.04, 0.10, 0.08, 0.08 and 0.02 μg / l, respectively.
