The political development of political parties in the post-war reconstruction of Iraq mainly reflects the expansion and conflict of political forces in different races and sects in Iraq. In order to meet the post-war needs of “democratization and political reconstruction,” all ethnic groups and sectarian forces have actively established political parties and expanded their political power through participating in the election. However, facing the realistic post-war political environment, all political parties must rely on the establishment of militiamen to maintain and expand their sphere of influence. At the same time, political parties also attract supporters by providing jobs and other material benefits. The political development of political parties that integrate politics, military affairs and economy will further deepen the division between racial and sectarian forces in Iraq, weaken the central authority of the country and have a profound impact on the future establishment and political development of Iraq.
