2016年02月29日讯:江西省承担的国家自然科学基金项目——“活化石”植物瓦勒迈松繁殖技术的研究,近日在庐山植物园取得成功。原产于澳大利亚的瓦勒迈松,为南洋杉科单型属植物,与恐龙同时代,是目前地球上最古老的“活化石”植物之一,曾被认为在地球上已经消失。直到1994年,该植物在澳大利亚大蓝山山脉国家公园被发现,且生存范围非常有限。据介绍,瓦勒迈松不仅具有很高的园林观赏价值,其生物应用前景也十分乐观,研究发现与其茎和叶共生的真菌,可产生抗癌药物紫杉
