在20世纪初年旋起旋灭的众多倾向革命的报刊中,1904年创刊的《警钟日报》成为晚清革命诗潮中不可或缺的重要阵地。《警钟日报》诗歌以高亢入云的嘹亮歌喉,谱写出一批批裹挟时代风雷的华彩乐章;宣扬民族主义思想,鼓吹排满革命,是其最集中的主题意向。《警钟日报》诗歌大都承继了“诗界革命”的诗歌革新精神与方向,在很大程度上可视为同期正蓬勃开展的诗界革命运动的有机组成部分,推进了中国诗歌的近代化变革;而高旭、刘光汉、陈去病、高燮等骨干诗人的诗歌所表现出的鲜明的光复旧物之思想和咏古寄怀之特征,则为此后的南社诗歌定下了振起国魂、弘扬国粹的主基调。
Among the many pro-revolutionary newspapers that were annihilated in the early 20th century, the “Daily Bell”, first published in 1904, became an indispensable and important position in the late-Qing revolutionary poem. “Alarm Bell” poem with loud crows singing into the clouds, write a batch of clutter with the era of thunder and colorful movements; preach nationalist ideas, advocating full of revolution, is its most concentrated theme of intent.
