1.四年的试验研究和生产调查结果:肯定了甜菜垅作的适宜配置方式是60×20—30厘米,合理密植幅度为保苗3500—5500株/亩,单株营养面积为1200—1800平方厘米。2.缩小行距有利于进一步提高单位面积株数,更能充分发挥群体的增产潜力。试验结果证明:50×20厘米和45×20厘米的配置方式能获得较高的产糖量。缩小行距条件下适宜的配置方式为40—50×20—30厘米,每亩保苗株数为5000—7500株。3.在上述的合理密植幅度内,应因地制宜地确定每个具体地区的具体密植度和具体的配置方式。凡是在土地肥沃,管理条件较好的地区;或是在病虫害发生较少而保苗率较高的地区,以及采用丰产型品种等等,应适当减少密植度,在保证足够的基本苗数基础上,尽量发挥个体植株的生长潜力。反之,与上述条件相反的地区则应适当放密些。在保证个体植株正常生育的条件下,尽量的挖掘群体增产潜力。在垅作地区或灌溉地区,为便于进行田间管理,可以适当扩大行距至60厘米;在手工操作管理周到的平作或畦作区,可以适当缩小行距至50—40厘米,以提高密植度。
