近年来,辽宁省社会保险事业逐步健全,发展较快。截止1993年底,全省共有社会保险机构911个,从业人员达2.1万人;参加失业和养老保险的职工,国有企业占职工总数的98％,集体企业占职工总数的50％,“三资”企业约11.7万人。去年,全省近80余万失业或退休职工受益。工伤和医疗保险事业,也有较大发展。社会保险事业的迅速发展,对我省改革开放、经济建设与社会稳定,尤其对企业转换经营机制,顺利向市场经济过渡,起了积极的推动作用。
