To explore the relationship between the forced tendency, the level of confidence in inner experience and the lack of sense of knowing. Using the false biofeedback as the external clues to the inner state, using the instructional language to control the level of confidence in subjects’ inner experience and to investigate the high / low obsession -compulsive tendencies, HOC / LOC) group relies on external cues to evaluate the intrinsic state under different confidence levels. Results: (1) The HOC group had a weak sense of knowing, which was more dependent on the external cues than the LOC group. (2) The lack of a sense of knowing in the HOC group was affected by the confidence level, and the low confidence would aggravate the HOC group’s knowledge Lack of feeling. The results of this study can help to alleviate the suspicion and associated obsessive-compulsive symptoms in individuals with HOC and may perhaps provide an insight into cognitive and metacognitive therapies for OCD.
