打开玉林市地图,我们可以看到,在324国道 玉林段沿线分布着兴业县、玉州区、福绵管理区、 北流市、容县、陆川县等6个县(市)区的35个乡 镇、4个街道办事处以及所属的484个行政村(居 委会)、35个社区。2003年,自治区党委书记曹伯 纯到玉林市检查工作时明确指出,建设“玉贵走 廊”,是加快推进桂东经济发展的需要,是实现扩 大对外开放,接受东部产业转移的重要平台。他强 调,“玉贵走廊”的特色是要建成经济发达的走廊。 通过加快工业化、城镇化、农业产业化步伐,发展 壮大县乡财政收入．提高经济效益,增加企业职工 和农民的收入;要建成“三个文明”协调发展的走 廊。实践也使玉林市的各级领导充分认识到:“玉 贵走廊”作为玉林市加快经济社会发展的发动机 和“孵化器”,对玉林市在广西实现局部突破和崛 起,在“两个融入”中实现“两个率先”起着至关重 要的作用。因此,2003年以来,工业化、城镇化、农 业产业化建设大潮在玉林涌动,取得了一系列令 人瞩目的成绩。
