在英语政治新闻语篇中,作为核心情态动词的would与will出现频率最高,使用最广泛,保守而言,占整个情态动词在英语政治新闻语篇中情态动词使用频率的30.8%和20.7%,基本上有一半的占有量。政治新闻语篇在通过大众传媒进行传播时,很大程度上代表了发言人所在权力机构的态度和立场,本文从情态动词的使用上进行观点的分析。
