The history of Chinese letters is long-established. In the Warring States period, Yi Yi’s “Yan Hui Wang Shu”, Lu Zhonglian’s “Remaining Yan Jiang Shu”, and Li Si’s “Ran Fang Ke Ke” are all famous stories. However, people in the Pre-Qin and Han dynasties wrote letters in a more casual manner. At the time of the Wei and Jin Dynasties, people began to write “Books and Instruments”, which was the format of various types of letters to be used when others wrote letters.
