由于带式输送机向大运量、长距离方向发展的结果,使带式输送机的驱动功率不断增大,70年代中期西德KRUPP公司制造了1500kw的带式输送机系统,整机功率达6×1500=9000kw,70年代末西德的FORTUNA矿使用的带式输送机装机总容量已达6×2000=12000kw。我国已经投产的鸡西矿务局的高强度运人运物带式输送机的装机总容量也达8×400=3200kw。这样大的功率,这样大的质量,启动与制动都将成为一个重要的课题。这就要求有更高的控制手段,更好的安全保护系统和多种检测方式。
