In the last 10 years, the number of concrete or steel cable-stayed bridges has increased dramatically. Reference 1 is a survey of over 200 cable-stayed bridges designed and built around the world. Although most of these cable-stayed bridges are made of steel, many are designed with prestressed concrete. In fact, the use of this material can simplify the design, detailed structure and construction methods, the construction of the bridge economic and beautiful. Unfortunately, so far many bridge engineers do not fully understand the basic principles of cable-stayed bridge design and construction. The purpose of this article is to introduce the latest technology on cable-stayed bridges
