糖类Potter等曾报导用硫酸铜-碳酸铜和酒石酸钾钠与还原糖作用,用原子吸收法测定溶液中未被还原的铜来间接测定还原糖。陈跃祖等以柠檬酸钠代替酒石酸钾钠,改进了测定的稳定性,在反应中产生的氧化亚铜过滤后溶于硝酸中来测定铜的含量,被测的有木糖、葡萄糖、甘露糖、阿拉伯糖、乳糖,测定范围为1~8×10~(-3)M,回收率在99.0~101.1%之间。苯酚,尿素、2~3倍的草酸、200倍的乙酸、丙酮、乙醇对测定无干扰。
