As scientists continue to study the immune system, they are developing sharper tools to control the immune system. At the 6th International Immunological Conference in Toronto, Canada, in early July, Thomas A Waldmann of the National Cancer Institute Bethesda, NC, introduced the use of specific antibodies targeted to viable T cells.
