一、前言盐度是用来度量海水中的含盐量,在本世纪初,M.克纽森(Knudsen)等人建立了盐度的定义:在1000克海水中,当碳酸盐全部变为氧化物、溴和碘以氯代替、所有的有机物质全部氧化之后所含固体物质的总数,单位为克/千克,符号为S‰。但是,用这个方法操作十分复杂,在实际工作中,则根据海水恒定性规律,单独测量海水中氯离子的含量(氯度Cl‰),然后用公式(1)间接地计算出盐度:
