昆明地区蔬菜地拉美斑潜蝇幼虫危害和成虫活动主峰在４～５月，次高峰在１０～１１月。满天星花卉大棚内斑潜蝇种群主高峰在７～８月，次高峰在４～５月。蚕豆从１１月到翌年４月，拉美斑潜蝇成虫数量呈上升趋势，幼虫在１０～１１月和２～４月为害较重。该虫在蔬菜地不转移危害，但在蔬菜与蚕豆地之间却转移危害。植株幼苗期和成苗期受害轻重依品种而异，植株中部叶片受害较重。
