审美经验和审美评价在人类日常生活中具有普遍性,是人类生活的重要组成部分。西方美学由于受到康德、黑格尔等美学观的影响,对异文化中经验性的审美甚少关注。不过,这在民族志研究中得到了强调,亦受到进化论学者的重视。为了考察日常美学,人类学家运用了整体性的视角和语境化的研究方法。人类学以民族志的形式,将对审美研究的重心,从纯粹的“艺术”经验,转换到了渗透民众日常经验的“日常之美”。由此,“审美民族志”对于人类本质的问题,提供了一种新的解释。
Aesthetic experience and aesthetic evaluation are universal in human daily life and are an important part of human life. Due to the influence of Kant and Hegelian aesthetics, western aesthetics paid little attention to the empirical aesthetic in different cultures. However, this has been emphasized in ethnographic studies and also taken seriously by evolutionists. To examine everyday aesthetics, anthropologists use holistic perspectives and contextualized approaches to research. In the form of ethnography, anthropology transforms the center of gravity of aesthetic studies from the pure “art” experience to the “everyday beauty” that permeates the daily experience of the people. Thus, “aesthetic ethnography ” provides a new explanation for the question of human nature.
