Research Progress in Application of Computer Aided Technology in Cranial and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery

Abstract: With the continuous development of science and technology, doctors continue to innovate and explore the treatment scheme of craniofacial plastic surgery with the combination of computer-assisted surgery (computer-aided surgery,CAS) and traditional medical technology. A variety of digital auxiliary technologies are also widely used in the treatment of cranio-maxillofacial deformities. The author summarizes several commonly used computer-assisted surgical techniques, and introduces the new research results of these techniques in craniofacial surgery in recent years. Such as EasyImplant software system; An integrated tactile VR system named "OSSys",using computer-aided technology to design and manufacture pre-bending titanium plate cutting drilling guide to correct bony III class malocclusion; combined with 3D printing and tissue engineering technology to make a new type of nasal cartilage implant in rhinoplasty. It not only improves the treatment level and concept of doctors, but also brings good news to patients.

現代颅颌面外科的创立应归功于法国外科医生Paul Tessier,20世纪60年代,通过与神经外科医生及眼科医生的密切合作,Paul在1964年首次经颅内路径,成功治疗了1例先天性眶距增宽症[1-2]。
