随着改革开放的深入,中国综合国力的增强,国际交往增多,国家所需要的是面向世界、对异国文化有深刻理解能力的人才,这就要求我们在中学英语教学中重视跨文化教育,将之提高到应有的高度,使学生在实际交流中具备多元文化的包容性。《九年义务制英语课程标准》指出:“英语教学应该是对人的品格、思维、语言能力、健全人格、文化知识和意识等的全面素质教育,了解文化差异、增强跨文化交际能力、增强全球意识是其中的重要组成部分。”美国教育家温斯顿·布伦姆伯格
With the deepening of reform and opening up, China’s overall national strength has increased, and international exchanges have increased. What the country needs is talents who have the ability to understand the world and have a deep understanding of foreign cultures. This requires us to attach importance to cross-cultural education in English teaching in middle schools. The improvement to a proper height enables students to be multiculturally inclusive in their actual communication. The “Nine-Year Compulsory English Curriculum Standards” states: “English teaching should be a comprehensive quality education of people’s character, thinking, language ability, sound personality, cultural knowledge and awareness, understanding of cultural differences, enhancing cross-cultural communication skills, and enhancing Global awareness is an important part of this.” American educator Winston Blomberg
