通麦5号(76—31)是由江苏省沿江地区农科所用73—13大麦与72—20—14_(2)元麦杂交,于1976年选育而成。经省、市大麦品种区域试验和生产示范,表现较好,1986年3月经江苏省品种审定委员会审定通过。产量表现据1984年国内24个试点统计,通麦5号比早熟3号增产17.45%,同时比20个试点的矮早三增产10.09%。1981~1982年连续二年市大麦品种区域试验,平均亩产309.4公斤,比早熟3号增产6.64%。1983年升入省品种区域试验,两年平均单产395.8公斤,名列第二位。特征特性该品种植株矮,抗
