High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and C18 column were used to determine the azithromycin content at a wavelength of 210 nm with potassium dihydrogen phosphate - acetonitrile (70:30) at pH4.0 as the mobile phase. In the range of 160-2000 μg / mL, the linear relationship between concentration and peak area was good (r = 0.9999). The mean recoveries of azithromycin were 100.8% and the precision RSD was 0.9% (n = 6). The method was simple and accurate
