“地球村”、“因特网”、“信息高速公路”已成E时代不绝于耳的词汇。然而,“地球村”是什么?“因特网”如何发展?“信息高速公路”是什么概念?想必许多教师和我一样心存疑惑。“学起于思,思源于疑”,在这里笔者谈谈自己的学习体会。一、地球村是什幺地球村是一位叫艾尔·戈尔的美国人于1991年在《科学美国人》杂志上发表的《全球村的基础结构》论文中提出的。文中提出了“国家信息基础结构”(NII)和“信息高速公路”等概念。这些概念后来进一步演化成“全球信息基础结构”(GII),可称为“全球信息基础设施”,也就是我们常说的“因特网”、“信息高速公路”。GII一旦建成,世界便真的成 “Global Village”, “Internet” and “Information Superhighway” have become ubiquitous words in the E-era. However, what is “global village” and how is the “Internet” developed? WHAT IS THE GLOBAL AREA? The Global Village was made by an American named Al Gore in a paper entitled “The Global Village Infrastructure”, published in Science American in 1991. The article proposed the concepts of “National Information Infrastructure” (NII) and “Information Superhighway”. These concepts later evolved into the “global information infrastructure” (GII), which can be called the “global information infrastructure,” which we commonly refer to as the “Internet” and the “information superhighway.” Once the GII is completed, the world will become a reality
