Three components were isolated from onekind of yarrow(Achillea alpina Ledeb.蓍草)and identified as α-furoic acid,fumaric acidand succinic acid.These were shown to beantibacterial,antiinflammatory,antipyretic,sedative and analgesic,and were thus assumedto be the main components responsible for theantiinflammatory effect of yarrow.
