长江三峡库区,系指东起湖北宜昌,西至四川江津城西约10公里的长江段,南北到长江分水岭。境内包括川鄂两省宜昌、重庆等24个县市,土地面积62552平方公里,人口约2014万,人平土地面积0.31公顷余。 地貌分区以四川奉节为界,此界以东是川鄂接壤中山低山峡谷区,以西为川东平行岭谷低山丘陵区。全区地形以深丘、低山和中山为主。山地面积占库区土地面积的85％,平坝只约占15％。
The Three Gorges Reservoir Area refers to the Yangtze River section which starts from Yichang in Hubei Province to the east and to the west of Jiangjin City in Sichuan Province in the west to the watershed in the Yangtze River from north to south. The territory includes Sichuan and Hubei provinces Yichang, Chongqing and other 24 counties and cities, the land area of 62,552 square kilometers, a population of about 2014 million people flat land area of more than 0.31 hectares. Geomorphological zoning to Fengjie as the boundary of Sichuan Province, east of this sector is bordering the Central Sichuan low mountain canyon area, west of the East Ridge Ridge valley.
