One of the greatest public health challenges facing the world today is malaria control, and there is an urgent need to develop vaccines that will fight the infection of falciparum malaria. Studies in mouse malaria models have shown that immunization with the modified vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA) after DNA vaccination has been shown to induce a strong T-cell immune response. The authors report that human volunteers enhance the safety and tolerability of immunization with DNA prime followed by MVA Sexual result. 4
