Objective: To study the effect of low-frequency ultrasound combined with triamcinolone on healing time of experimental oral ulcer and the content of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in ulcer tissue of golden hamster. Methods: Sixty golden hamsters were randomly divided into five groups, one group was baseline group (including normal baseline group and ulcer baseline group, six each), and the other four groups were experimental group (low-frequency ultrasound + drug group, ultrasound alone group , Separate drug group and blank control group), 12 in each group. The model of oral ulcer was established by “oxygen free radical injury” in each group. The healing of ulcer was observed 24 h after the last treatment, and the activity of SOD and the content of MDA in the ulcer tissue were detected. Data was analyzed statistically using SPSS 20.0 software package. Results: The time of ulcer healing in the low-frequency ultrasound + drug group was significantly shorter than that in the ultrasound alone group, the drug alone group and the blank control group. SOD in the low-frequency group + [2.32 ± 0.30] U / mgprot was significantly higher than that in the ulcer baseline group [(1.48 ± 0.29) U / mgprot] and [1.83 ± 0.15) U / mgprot] (P <0.05). The MDA level in the low-frequency ultrasound + drug group was significantly higher than that in the blank control group [(1.76 ± 0.25) U / mgprot and the blank control group (9.41 ± 0.22) nmol / mgprot] in the ulcer baseline group [(9.00 ± 0.44) nmol / mgprot] alone group [(9.04 ± 0.43) nmol / mgprot) The control group [(9.03 ± 0.46) nmol / mgprot] was significantly lower (P <0.05). The ulcer healing SOD activity and MDA content examination showed that there was no significant difference (P> 0.05) between the low-frequency ultrasound + drug group, the single ultrasound group, the single drug group and the blank control group compared with the normal baseline group. Conclusion: Low-frequency ultrasound synergistic with triamcinolone acetonide can significantly reduce the ulcer healing time, increase the activity of SOD in ulcer tissue, reduce the content of MDA, and promote ulcer healing.
