分形图像压缩是一种基于分形迭代函数系统(IFS)理论的图像压缩方法,压缩比大,但编码过程计算复杂、编码时间长.结合离散余弦变换(DCT)近似的分形图像压缩方法,提高了分形压缩中灰度变换的精度,从而达到了提高图像质量、提高压缩比和减少编码时间的目的.三种不同方法压缩标准图像的结果比较证实了新方法的优越性.
Fractal image compression is an image compression method based on the fractal iterative function system (IFS) theory. The compression ratio is large, but the encoding process is complicated and the coding time is long. Combining with discrete cosine transform (DCT) approximation fractal image compression method, the accuracy of the gray-scale transform in fractal compression is improved, so as to improve the image quality, improve the compression ratio and reduce the encoding time. Comparison of the results of three different methods of compressing standard images confirmed the superiority of the new method.
