七号矿体是东乡铜矿主要矿体之一。由于勘探程度较差,未做选矿试验而不能满足近期生产建设要求。我矿对七号矿体进行了开发勘探,只用九个月时间,施工十个钻孔,投资15万元、新增工业储量(铜金属)3.6万吨,使原来勘探保有储量增加59.03％。其中高品位富矿储量增加三倍。在开发勘探中也查定了金、银的含量,其中新发现富矿中银的含量超过单独银矿工业指标的1.3倍,
