拜占廷和阿拉伯对中世纪西欧文化产生过重要影响,吴长春同志的《中世纪西欧吸收古希腊文化渠道问题初探》对此作了有益的探讨。他提出阿拉伯文化和拜占廷文化在西传中何者为先、何者为主这个问题,断言:“在两种类型中,前者是主要的,后者则是相对次要的。”笔者对吴文的这一结论和其他几个主要观点,另有所见,不敢苟同,简略陈述如下,就教于吴长春同志和学界同仁。 Byzantine and Arab influences have had an important influence on the culture of Western Europe in the Middle Ages, and Comrade Wu Changchun’s “Exploration on the Absorption of Ancient Greek Culture in Western Europe in the Middle Ages” made a useful discussion.
