In the report of the Fifteenth World Gas Conference Gas Commission, the main progress on the gas pipeline in each member country since the last World Gas Conference has been summarized as follows. First, the development of the gas transmission system has affected the economic recession in many countries and failed to stop the continued growth of natural gas output. It is still actively planning and building gas transmission pipelines around the world. In recent years, the Soviet Union has built a number of large-scale gas transmission projects and built thousands of additional kilometers of pipelines. The total length of gas transmission lines is about 135,000 kilometers, of which 12,000 kilometers has a diameter of 1,650 millimeters.
