The expression of time-body-modality has no obvious cross-linguistic tendencies. From this perspective, this essay examines the dichotomy of English held by the modus operandi assumption. The findings are as follows: 1) The coexistence of recessive modal and dichotomous incompatibility with the principle of language economy, coexistence of dichotomous dichotomies and dichotomous time can not cover the future of will / shall - 2) From the perspective of the grammaticalization of cross-linguistic-ontological modality and the diachronic expansion of prominent English, the implication / predictive modality stems from the expectation that the future will not derive from the speaker’s expectation / Prediction; 3) Cross-lingual (non-) reality is not a single category of modality, and there is a significant imbalance between it and the time-body-modality. Among the non-realist categories, Complementary distribution. English (non) reality of the low degree of categorization, if will / shall be an unrealistic proprietary tag and the absence of real mark does not support English no future.
