１９４９年元旦，新华社发表了毛泽东主席亲自写的《将革命进行到底》的新年献词。当时我在华中二分区司令部作机要工作，驻在高邮县临泽镇，及时学习了这篇新年献词，明确认识到我军１９４９年的任务是打过长江去，解放全中国。当时我们人人都准备参加到这一伟大的战役中去。
On the New Year’s Day in 1949, Xinhua News Agency published a New Year’s speech entitled “Carrying the Revolution Through to the End” himself, which Chairman Mao Zedong himself wrote.
