一.问题的提出当我们在1953年得到。等作的值物生理实验书时,曾以玉米幼苗为材料根据该书181页123的实验作生理酸性及生理硷性试验。结果NaNO_3组大多是对的(较原液pH增大)而(NH_4)_2SO_4组则相反(pH也增大),也有个别的试验两组都得正确的结果。事后就改用洋葱,同时在试验前将两组pH都调整到一样,但结果都非常无规律。在1954年10月又开始作此试验,无论培养什麽植株大多是NaNO_3组得相反结果(较原液pH小),(NH_4)_2SO_4组得正确的结果(pH较原液为小),经过我们反覆试验多次均係这样的,但也有个别几次在一天内测定两组都得正确的结果,而大多数在一天之内NaNO_3组的pH不变或稍变小一点,(NH_4)_2SO_4组pH均变小。按照该书规定在2-3小时后测定,两组pH均无变化。因此,我们测定的时间往往都较2-3小时为长,甚至到几天。
