碘化物对饮水卫生有着重要意义,所以在水化学的研究中对碘的测定相当重视。硫氰酸汞法测定碘化物,需使用有害的汞试剂。硫酸高铈催化比色法,灵敏度高,但该方法操作条件严格、复杂。内海等人使用0.5M KI溶液,代替硫氨酸汞,利用I_3的生成,在350nm下测定水相的吸光度。该法比硫氰酸汞法灵敏,大量氯离子共存时没有干扰。但使用0.5M KI溶液,I~-非常易氧
