光谱分析的准确度被认为很难高于百分之几,所以一直被认为不适于高含量分析。有的甚至认为对含量大于1%的元素,光谱分析的准确度已不如化学分析。然而这些看法,经验根据和理论基础都尚不足。近来由于光电光谱长足的进展,使其分析速度之快、经济效果之高,都远远超过了其他分析方法。这样,从实践和理论上认真探讨光谱分析高含量的可能性,就有了一定的现实意义。笔者对自己能接触到的十几种高合金钢,进行了摄谱分析尝试,结果的准确性达到了与化学分析相同的水平。一试验摄谱分析的基本公式是:
