Objective: To investigate and understand the sleep status and its influencing factors of officers and soldiers in a certain island. Methods: The Insomnia Scale (AIS), Fatigue Inventory-14 (FS-14) and self-made questionnaire were used to investigate the sleep status of 339 officers and soldiers of an island government and the influencing factors were analyzed. Results: The total score of AIS was 6 points and 93 cases, accounting for 27.4%, 4 ~ 6 points and 89 cases, accounting for 26.3%; <4 points and 157 cases, accounting for 46.3%. There were significant differences in AIS score, FS-14 score and each factor score among officers and soldiers stationed in island with sleep disorders (P <0.01). The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the total score of AIS and each factor and the total score of FS-14 and all the factors (P <0.01). Logistic multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that factors that affect the self-sleep exist, that poor relations with the comrades and body fatigue into the sleep disorder as the dependent variable regression equation. Conclusion: There is a certain degree of sleep disorders among officers and soldiers stationed in the island. Sleep disorders and factors affecting self-sleep exist and are believed to be related to poor relations with military commanders and physical fatigue factors.
