早在20年前就不断有人发现,阿米巴原虫内可寄生有多种细菌,近年来又从临床标本的阿米巴中继续分离出多种胞内共生菌。因此,关于它们对人类的致病性渐受人们重视,对携带有胞内寄生或共生菌的阿米巴原虫,作为人类致病菌的传播媒介和多种病原菌的贮存宿主,已渐渐提高了认识,并对它们在分类学地位进行大量的研究。而这类胞内寄生或共生菌,已成为当前严重关注的传染源问题。文章综述了目前已发现的阿米巴共生菌、共生菌的种类和阿米巴与军团菌及军团样菌的关系,并介绍实验诊断的部分方法。
