First, China’s tungsten resources are extremely rich in reserves and output, accounting for the first place in the world in all mineral resources (including nonferrous metals, ferrous metals, coal, oil, natural gas, etc.), and China’s tungsten resources rank first in the world. The world recognized. At the first international tungsten symposium in 1979, Dr F Bender, president of the West German Institute of Geological Sciences and Natural Resources, estimated that the world’s tungsten ore industry has a total of 2.03 million tons of tungsten (in terms of tungsten content, the same applies hereinafter) China’s tungsten ore reserves have 925,000 tons of tungsten metal. This figure is much less than the actual industrial reserves in our country. According to this estimate, China’s tungsten industry reserves account for 46.9% of the world’s total industrial reserves. The reserves of tungsten in the Soviet Union, North and South Korea, the United States and Canada are relatively large, but none of them exceeds 10% of the world’s reserves.
