Ogle proposed two measures of turning the eyeball balance - associated and independent steady squint. He assumes both are equivalent. However, the experimental results show that there is no strict consistency between these values of retina. To analyze the principles behind Ogle’s assumption of equivalence, we evaluated a linear static model. We found that there was a close agreement between the linear model and the independent occult eye. Therefore, his assumption is based on the linear model. To illustrate the difference between these two measures, we estimate a non-linear static model of the blind controller that includes the field of view depth and Panum’s binocular booing region.
