“对玉的爱好,可以说是中国的文化特色之一,启迪着雕刻家、诗人、画家的无限灵感。”这是《中国科学技术史》上的一段话。确实,玉汲取了几千年的文化精髓,具有纳以百川的包容性。玉的特点在于它具有的五光和十色,有明有晦、有强有弱,折射出历史的光谱。玉之所以为玉,是人类文明的造化;玉之所以为人们所尊所爱,是因为在这块“美丽的石头”上闪耀着人类文明的魅力光辉。玉的文明史是一部人类文明的发展史。
