第一个人工气候室于30年前建成,从那时起,大多数植物研究中心就可以采用类似的设备,对影响植物生长的一些或全部比较重要的环境因素加以控制。使用人工气候室虽不可能为与生产造林树种苗木有关的研究问题提供全部答案,但人工气候室确实是一种很有价值的设备。要正确认识植物对环境的响应,就得使用可以控制特定气候因子的设备。在森林中,许多环境因素,例如温度、光合辐照度和昼长,它们混杂在一起,因而很难区别出任何单独一种因素对植物生长的作用。使用受控环境则有可能分析在保持其它因素不变的同时改变一种因素的效应。如果使现有设备更加灵巧和完善将更会提高这种分析方法的效率。
Since the first artificial climate chamber was completed 30 years ago, most plant research centers have used similar equipment since then to control some or all of the more significant environmental factors that affect plant growth. While it is not possible to use artificial climatic chambers to provide answers to the research questions related to the production of tree seedlings, artificial climatic chambers are indeed valuable instruments. To correctly understand the plant’s response to the environment, you have to use equipment that can control specific climatic factors. In the forest, many environmental factors, such as temperature, photosynthetic irradiance and day length, are mixed together, making it difficult to distinguish the effect of any single factor on plant growth. With a controlled environment it is possible to analyze the effect of changing one factor while keeping other factors constant. If the existing equipment more smart and perfect will further improve the efficiency of this method of analysis.
