一、華盛頓會議以後美日關係的轉變在美日關係史上,華盛頓會議是一個重大轉折點。從這時起,兩國間,在表面上,的確已不再保持如會議以前的那種緊張狀態;雙方彷彿都表示要“釋嫌修好”、“敦睦邦交”。所以,美國資產階級歷史家杜勒斯(Foster Rhea Dulles)稱這次會議以後的十年時間为美日關係史上的“和睦時代”。事實上,在帝國主義國家之間,真正的和睦關係
I. Changes in the U.S.-Japan Relationship after the Washington Conference In the history of the U.S.-Japan relations, the Washington meeting was a major turning point. From this moment on, the tension between the two countries, on the superficial side, does not remain as they were before the meeting. Both parties seem to have expressed their desire to “fix their troubles” and “make diplomatic exchanges with their country”. Therefore, Foster Rhea Dulles, the bourgeois historian in the United States, called the decade after this meeting the “era of harmony” in the history of the U.S.-Japanese relations.
