The author of this article conducted a study on health education as a method for the prevention and treatment of tsutsugamushi disease in the rural areas of Morelos, Mexico. The study lasted for about two years. It included surveys of all local families, anthropological investigations to determine the awareness and behavior of local people, and investigations into the control effects of knowledge, behavior, and the prevalence of tsutsugamushi disease. Through previous interviews with local officials, medical workers, butchers, housewives and peasants and other professionals, collect information on their understanding of locust life history and related knowledge.
