Japan is one of the few countries in the world that has a long, unbroken history. During the long process of development in Japan, many cultures with unique Japanese characteristics were formed. Geisha culture is one of them. The origins of Japanese geisha culture can be traced back to Japan’s shogunate period. Sadoku was a major force active on the stage of the Geisha during the Japanese palaces and Japanese women began to think about their traditional life in a situation where domestic cultural constraints on women were constantly being shattered. The loyalty and obedience of Japanese women in their traditional life are due to the historical trend or other reasons, but this has a tremendous impact on Japanese women. For Japanese women, that is the devastation of their humanity. We reflect the value of geisha through understanding the development and social role of geisha in Japan’s various epochs and reflect the Japanese geisha’s influence today by exploring the past.
