The isotope source of ~ (238) Pu was used as the laser source, and the energy dispersive X - ray spectrometer composed of Si (Li) detector was used to measure the catalytic activity of Co (Ac) _24H2O in the feed liquid of terephthalic acid (PTA) , Mn (Ac) _24H_2O and cocatalyst C_2H_2Br_4 were studied. Due to the low content of the tested elements and the poor stability of the instrument, a new method of deducting background in energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis is proposed in this paper -
