Zanville’s eclectic formalist natural aesthetics consists of two sub-arguments: eclectic formalism of organic nature and extreme formalism of inorganic nature. He demonstrates the previous argument through two typical examples. By arguing against the counter-example of the Cynomorium cloud and demonstrating the aesthetic properties of the inorganic ownership, it does not possess non-formal aesthetic attributes and argues for the latter argument. We first analyze Zanwill’s arguments and then make an assessment that he is convincing about the eclectic formalism of organic nature, but the refutation of the counterexamples of the Cumulonimbus cloud is unsuccessful, which eventually weakened The rationality of the extreme formalism of inorganic nature; and finally make a prospect that the overall eclecticism will be a more promising natural aesthetics.
