糯稻良种——桂花糯

糯米是人们喜爱的食品。过去湄潭县一直沿用高秆的老品种,单产只有500~600斤,糯米远远满足不了人们的需求。为了提高糯稻产量,我们于1980年春从江苏省镇江地区农科所引进糯稻良种“桂花糯”,进行试种。当年,在湄潭良种场种植1.4亩,亩产1006.4斤;永兴公社芳元大队何义余试种0.25亩,亩产1179.2斤,均比本地老品种白壳糯增产近一倍。1981年桂花糯迅速发展到永兴、茅坝、兴隆、协育、黄家坝、庙塘、高台、茅坪等社队,增产十分显著。1982年种植面积进一步扩大到全县各区,推动了糯稻生产的发展,使糯米的供求矛盾有所缓和。 Glutinous rice is a favorite food. Meitan County in the past has been using tall old varieties, yields only 500 to 600 pounds, glutinous rice can not meet the needs of people far. In order to increase the output of glutinous rice, we introduced the sweet-scented waxy sweet-scented osmanthus “Guihua glutinous rice” from the Agricultural Science Institute of Zhenjiang Prefecture, Jiangsu Province in the spring of 1980 for trial planting. In the same year, planting 1.4 acres of Meitan plantations, mu produce 1006.4 kg; Yongxing commune Fang Yuan brigade HeYu Yu test 0.25 acres, 1179.2 kg per mu, than the local varieties of white shell glutinous nearly doubled. In 1981, Guihua glutinous rice quickly developed into Yongxing, Maoba, Xinglong, Xieba, Huangjiaba, Miaotang, Gaotai, Maoping and other communes and brigades, and the yield was very significant. 1982 acreage further expanded to all districts of the county, promote the development of glutinous rice production, so that the contradiction between supply and demand of glutinous rice eased.
