PUMPKINS (南瓜)
In October, pumpkins are everywhere. People cut the pumpkins and give them scary (可怕的；吓人的) faces. People put pumpkins in windows to stop monsters (怪物；巨兽) and witches (女巫).
在十月，到处都是南瓜。人们把南瓜做成吓人的面具，并把南瓜放在窗子上以阻止怪物和女巫进去。
PUMPKIN FESTIVALS （南瓜节）
At Keene (基恩), USA, 50,000 people come to see the big pumpkin display.
在美国基恩，有五万人去看大
型的南瓜展览。
TRICK OR TREAT （不请吃就捣乱）
In Britain and America, kids wear scary costumes (特定场合穿的成套的服装). They go to houses and say “Trick or Treat”. If you say “trick”, the kids play a trick on you. If you say “treat”, you give them sweets (糖果) or chocolate (巧克力). Kids have a trick or treat bag for all the sweets.
在英国和美国，孩子们穿上特制的服装到各家说“不请吃就捣乱”。 如果你说“恶作剧”，他们将会捉弄你。如果你说“款待”，你要给他们糖果或者巧克力，孩子们准备了袋子装所有的糖果。
