来到革命老区梅县畲江镇,在清流汩汩的河畔,见到了耸入云端的“邹韬奋纪念馆”;在崇山峻岭中的江头村,人们可见到环境优美、书声朗朗的“韬奋学校”;近处又有一座横跨山溪的“韬公桥”;不远地方还有两处革命遗址,标明为当年邹韬奋避难住所,列为县级文物保护单位。邹韬奋祖籍江西省余江县,出生于福州市。江头村人深情地缅怀他,历时四载、筹集80多万元资金,建造了三项永久性纪念建筑物。1941年12月7日太平洋战争爆发,香港被日军占领。当时包括邹韬奋先生在内的几百名文化精英陷入险境。邹韬奋于1942年1月11日,在东江纵队住了3天后,被送到龙川县老隆镇开设侨兴行作为掩护地下活动
